2. About RANKNESIA

RANKNESIA is an independent, open-data-based world university ranking platform. All ranking data is sourced from OpenAlex (CC0 license) and is updated twice a year. RANKNESIA is not affiliated with any university, government, or accreditation body.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and truthful information during registration
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. University Reports

Users may submit reports about universities. By submitting a report, you agree that:

  • All information provided is truthful and supported by credible evidence
  • You will not submit false, misleading, or malicious reports
  • You understand that submitting false reports may result in account suspension or legal action
  • RANKNESIA reserves the right to accept, reject, or remove any report at its discretion

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Submit spam, false reports, or abusive content
  • Perform denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks against the Service
  • Scrape or harvest data from the Service without permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity

6. Data & Rankings

All ranking data is sourced from OpenAlex under a CC0 license. While we strive for accuracy, RANKNESIA does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any ranking data. Rankings should not be used as the sole basis for academic or institutional decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

The RANKNESIA name, logo, and platform design are the property of RANKNESIA. Ranking data sourced from OpenAlex is available under CC0 and may be freely used. User-submitted content remains the property of the submitter, but you grant RANKNESIA a license to display and use it within the platform.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. RANKNESIA does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

RANKNESIA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or reputation damage to any university.

10. Account Termination

RANKNESIA reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms of Service, without prior notice.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
